Amonics’ S-Band Bismuth-doped fiber amplifier (BDFA) delivers high gain and low noise figure across the S-band. It expands the usable transmission bandwidth beyond the conventional C- and L-bands, enabling higher data capacity and longer transmission distances. The S-band BDFA is particularly valuable for DWDM networks and next-generation fiber systems.

The turnkey microprocessor-controlled BDFAs provide illustrative alarms and status indicators. An integrated RS232 computer interface enables easy control, diagnostic functions and data acquisition.
